                          Handy mealtime hints.

Food is fuel don’t get emotional.

Offer your child a meal, get him to sit at the table for twenty minutes. Whatever he hasn’t eaten at the end of this time he isn’t going to eat so let him get down and do something else.

Offer healthy snacks regularly.

Try to leave 2 hours between meals and snacks.
     e.g. breakfast 8am, snack 10am, lunch 12 noon, snack 2pm etc.

If your child only wants the same food for every meal, let her have it. She’ll soon get bored and want to try other things. As long as you keep offering her a variety of foods one day she will eat them. Probably sooner that you think!

              Two points to remember

1 Don’t stress. This is just a phase and your toddler will grow out of it.

2 Remember your toddler needs food as fuel, don’t let him use it as a tool to get to you.
